VV.AA. - "SOBRAS DEL DESCONTENTO Vs. CONQUESTIO" [CS-052 12" vinilo] Fenomenal disco compartido por bandas muy comprometidas en políticas sociales con fuertes ideales y contundentes mensajes libertarios. SDD provienen desde Chile y estuvo girando por Europa en 2019, coincidiendo con la banda Checa CONQUESTIO en dicha gira “Echo en casa EuroTour 2019” . PVP 12 €.

Un "Split album" muy interesante y singular. Es decir, interesante desde el punto de vista de que emparejaron a dos bandas de dos continentes diferentes. Conquestio son viejos conocidos de Pardubice (Rep. Checa) y Sobras Del Descontento, provienen de Chile, en un momento en el que el país andaba plagado de protestas, especialmente en la capital Santiago. Conquestio no necesita una extensa presentación en su país natal pero para el resto del mundo fue un gran "descubrimiento". En este split, aportan siete trallazos y se presentan con una actitud y espíritu crust/hardcore con riffs de thrash ocasionales. Las voces mixtas combinadas de rasgados o guturales giros, por momentos le dan un aire singular y exótico al disco. Así como, ideas bastante originales para melodías y procedimientos. Toda la grabación es muy "lo-fi", pero en conjunto el resultado es apabullante y eficaz. Sobras Del Descontento lo desempaca con un terraplén nervioso caótico muy emocional y muy entronizado en el espíritu hardcore / crust. Podría ser un cliché decir que es típicamente sudamericano. Pero así son las cosas, las bandas de esta parte del mundo suelen ser fáciles y rápidas de identificar, entendiéndose este argumento como definitorio de conduntencia, coherencia y señas de identidad. Cantos desbocados, que están a la altura de las pausas o pasajes melódicos muy interesantes. Fue lanzado con unas portadas elegantes en formato caperta abierta o "gatefold" y varias variaciones de vinilo de colores.

A very interesting and unique "Split album". I mean, interesting from the point of view that they paired up two bands from two different continents. Conquestio are old acquaintances from Pardubice (Czech Republic) and Sobras Del Descontento, come from Chile, at a time when the country was plagued by protests, especially in the capital Santiago. Conquestio does not need a long introduction in his native country but for the rest of the world he was a great "discovery". In this split, they contribute seven whiplashes and present themselves with a crust/hardcore attitude and spirit with occasional thrash riffs. The mixed voices combined with scratchy or guttural twists, at times give the album a singular and exotic air. As well as, quite original ideas for melodies and procedures. The whole recording is very "lo-fi", but as a whole the result is overwhelming and effective. Leftovers Of Discontent unpacks it with a highly emotional chaotic edgy fill and very much entrenched in the hardcore/crust spirit. It could be a cliché to say that it is typically South American. But that's the way things are, bands from this part of the world are usually easy and quick to identify, this argument being understood as defining consistency, coherence and signs of identity. Runaway songs, which are at the height of the pauses or very interesting melodic passages. It was released with elegant gatefold sleeves and several colored vinyl variations.
